Girl In The Closet is a Lifetime movie based on the harrowing true story dubbed ‘Basement of Horrors’.
It chronicles the horrendous ordeal endured by a 10-year old girl who, when her mother suffered a brain aneurysm, is placed in the custody of her aunt. Would the City of Philadelphia have done their due diligence, they would have discovered this aunt had previously been convicted of false imprisonment and murder.
This is the disturbing true story of what happens when the state lets a vulnerable child slip through the cracks of the system, and the extremely cruelty humans are capable of inflicting on one another.
